I remember the old Canadian Tire at that location very well - I lived a block away at Dawes and Danforth. My father-in-law, who used to work at the Canadian Tire warehouse in Brampton, said the Danforth/Main store was one of the most profitable stores in the chain.

By the looks of it, Crappy Tire took their 20/20 concept used in the suburbs and slapped on a crappy facade along Danforth. They could have done a much better job. They blew a great opportunity.
