Some words that should be in the dictionary, but aren’t. This page will be updated whenever I find the need to invent a word or resurrect an uncommon usage.

aclose
adverb From nearby; close-up. The opposite of afar. “I’d like to see that aclose.”
dang
verb Past of ding. “I dang my bell.”
datitude
n. An empty platitude delivered at the end of a dull or boring date in the hope that your dinner companion knows what you really mean. E.g., “I really had fun,” “Let’s do this again,” “I’ll call you.”
sitation
n. A footnote, endnote, or other citation that refers to a web site rather than a book, magazine, or other source.
